About us

Middleton Fire Company No. 1 was founded in 1901 following a massive fire that nearly destroyed the entire downtown. Since then, it has grown in both size and scope but has remained the only official support organization of the Middleton Fire District.

Funded by community donations, annual prairie burns, and contributions from the members themselves, the Fire Company has subsidized everything from public education to personnel training to the purchase of advanced firefighting equipment.

Over recent years, the Fire Company has purchased a live fire training trailer (aka the "burn trailer"), battery-powered vehicle extrication tools, equipment and department Honor Guard training.

The Middleton Fire Company hosts a family-friendly community event each year to raise funds that support its projects and programs. This event is entirely volunteer-run and aims to bring together members of the community with fire department personnel in an exciting and educational outdoor festival setting. This year's event will take place on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 12 pm to 10 pm at Middleton Firefighters Memorial Park on the corner of Airport Road and Pleasant View Road.
